Terms of Use

Last updated 3 September 2026

Draft. Hasn't been reviewed by a solicitor yet.

1. Who we are

Kids Pass is built and run by Merakixel for Winners Chapel International, WCI-Liverpool Children's Church. We're operating it on the Church's behalf for now; ownership is expected to move over to the Church later on. Questions? main@merakixel.com.

2. Agreeing to these terms

Creating an account means you agree to this and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you'd rather not, that's fine — you can still check your kids in and out through Church staff in person, no app required.

3. Who can use it

  • You're 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add.
  • The details you give us, about yourself and your kids, are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Accounts are for parents and guardians. Kids don't sign up or log in themselves.

4. Your account and family code

Keep your password to yourself, and treat your family code the same way — it's what lets staff pull up your family quickly at pickup. Something feel off? Tell Church staff or email us at main@merakixel.com. There's no self-service reset for either one yet.

5. Please don't

  • Give us false info about yourself or a child, including medical or safeguarding details.
  • Try to get into another family's account or data.
  • Use the app for anything beyond managing your own family's check-ins.
  • Poke at the app trying to break it.

6. Safeguarding is still in the Church's hands

The app helps with check-in and record-keeping. It doesn't replace the judgement of the staff and volunteers actually looking after your kids in the room.

7. Things can change

We don't promise the app is always up or bug-free. We'll add, change, or drop features sometimes, and we'll give you a heads-up before anything major.

8. Suspending or closing an account

We can suspend or close an account that's being misused, or if we genuinely think it's needed to protect other families. Want to close yours? Just ask — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after.

9. Liability

We're not liable for indirect losses from using the app. That said, nothing here limits our liability for death or injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law won't let us exclude.

10. Changes to these terms

We'll update the date up top when these change. Anything significant, we'll tell you about first.

11. Governing law

England and Wales law applies, and its courts have final say.
